I’ve always been curious about the ‘relativity of truth and the expectation of its universality’. People often say that “truth is relative” and we see things as true based on our disposition and perspective. Yet, I’ve always hoped we could have a shared perspective.

Here are the questions that keep me up at night:

“Are there certain truths that stand no matter where we are or how we see things?”

“What sets an objective truth apart from a subjective one?”

“Are there reasons for different opinions, and what are the beliefs we’re all supposed to agree on?”

Maybe the lack of consensus on these topics is leading to the chaos we’re seeing today. Globally, we have wars, propaganda, and flawed governments.

Throughout history, people have fought to protect themselves and their communities, sometimes for good reasons, other times not, showing our shared goals. The Bible, while telling a specific story, offers a template that defines all humans, regardless of our beliefs. It highlights the ups and downs of humanity and the fragile ground we walk on until a climax that describes Jesus’ life.

While we agree on the challenges facing humanity, there have been various solutions proposed, but they don’t always work in different situations. However, if everything we see and know fits into the chaos and limitations described by the Bible’s stories, isn’t it wise to consider the solution it recommends?

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life”.

This isn’t just a truth for a group or faith; it’s a path for the entire universe.

Isn’t it fascinating how all the perspectives we hold so dear can’t perfectly fit into every situation, but the authority of the one who seeks to restore the universality of truth and experiences remains unchallenged, as it has been tested and proven to hold through all times?

I believe that diversity is the beauty of life, but the commonality we share in our struggles shows that we only need one solution, and that is Jesus.
