A few months ago, I read an inspiring book, “Designing Your Life” written by Stanford university’s esteemed product designers, Bill Burnett and Dave Evans. I found the book insightful so much that I can say that it’s one of my all-time favourite books, and I will wholeheartedly recommend it to EVERYONE (you can probably guess why given the title!).
The book begins by urging us to assess our current life circumstances and introduces the powerful concept of Wayfinding. This framework provides a compass to navigate the journey of life ahead.
I found the questions in this chapter particularly thought- provoking, not necessarily because they are new to me but probably due to the non-spiritual presentation.
What are you living for? What are you here on earth to do?

It's remarkable how diverse our global perspectives can be, with religion often a significant factor. Yet, a common thread seems to run through all religions, even among atheists and agnostics: a purpose for existence, whether predetermined or not.
My goal is to encourage you to reflect on your own reasons for living and remind yourself often. An extra intentional effort will be to write them down for conscious remembrance.
Like I have believed and as emphasised in the book, the answers to these profound questions can serve pillars or, in some cases, boundaries for your life, shaping your aspirations and choices. This is where the art of designing your life begins.
So, I ask you again, "What are you living for?"

Kind share this to someone if you find it valuable.
Did you create an Odyssey Plan like the book recommends? If so, what did you learn?
Yes, I have created the plans and I learnt that we, sometimes, just need someone to nudge us in a new direction to see a whole new possibility.
